Russian Peacekeepers Vaccinated with Second Phase of Sputnik V

The medical personnel of the Russian peacekeeping contingent have begun the second phase of vaccinating the peacekeepers deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh with the Sputnik V vaccine. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

A total of about 2,000 doses of the vaccine have been delivered to Nagorno-Karabakh. This quantity is sufficient to vaccinate the entire staff of the peacekeepers. The vaccine is transported in special thermal containers that ensure the safety of the vaccine during transportation.

Once the vaccination is completed, all servicemen will receive a certificate of preventive vaccination against the new coronavirus infection, which will specify the dates of vaccination with the first and second components of the Sputnik V vaccine.

The first doses were administered to representatives of the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, as well as to servicemen of the medical units located in Stepanakert. Subsequently, according to the established schedule, mobile teams of doctors will carry out vaccinations for the personnel of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, which operates at 27 observation posts.
