Azerbaijanis Tell Our Shepherds to Go Back, and Our Shepherds Tell Them to Go Back: Mayor of Nerkhin Khndzoresk

In the village of Nerkhin Khndzoresk in the Syunik region, our shepherds often face issues with Azerbaijanis. This was stated by the mayor of Nerkhin Khndzoresk, Yervand Malunts, in an interview with NEWS.am.

“Azerbaijanis tell our shepherds to go back, and our shepherds tell them to go back. The grazing area is right next to the border. Currently, the situation has stabilized, and everything is normal,” he reported.

Speaking about the border demarcation being conducted with GPS systems, the mayor noted, “They are demarcating using GPS, which does not correspond to our map. What is now not ours has always been ours. The border is vast, and every day they demarcate in one direction.”

It is worth mentioning that there were reports circulating that Azerbaijanis had once again gone to Nerkhin Khndzoresk to clarify the borders using GPS and maps.
