Why Was the Process of Concealing Azerbaijani Border Violations and Their Transfer to Azerbaijan Hidden? Abrahamyan
Recently, the Ministry of Defense has been issuing daily reports on the situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan contact line, in which it provides information about the current state of the Goris-Kapan interstate highway segment in the Syunik region, referencing information received from the National Security Service (NSS).
As previously reported by the official website of the Russian Ministry of Defense, on January 30, two Azerbaijani soldiers were detained by the NSS in the area of Tegh village in the Syunik region. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the 'Henarq' analytical center and former security advisor to the President of Artsakh.
However, this incident has not been reflected in the daily reports issued by the Ministry of Defense on January 30 or in the days that followed. Does anyone have a reasonable explanation as to why the border violation by Azerbaijanis and the process of transferring them back to Azerbaijan has been concealed? Why is the Ministry of Defense spreading disinformation by stating that there have been no border incidents along the entire length of the Armenia-Azerbaijan contact line, despite the fact that Azerbaijanis have crossed the border? Is that not an incident?
Furthermore, in the section of the report referring to the NSS, there is not only a lack of mention of this incident, but it also states that no incidents were recorded in their area of responsibility. What is the purpose of distributing template, formal reports—to mislead the public, to falsify reality, to make people look foolish, or to undermine the credibility of your institutions and the very essence of your statements? When will you put an end to this nonsense?
