We Will Wait Until Our Issues Are Resolved, We Will Spend the Night at the Airport: Citizens Deported from Russia to Armenia

“There is still no news from anyone, we will stay at the airport until our issues are clarified,” said one of the Armenian citizens sent back from Russia at Zvartnots Airport, as reported by Tert.am.

“We have spent money and want to attend to our matters. There has been no response from the airport,” he stated.

It is worth noting that yesterday they were sent back to Armenia from a Russian airport due to issues related to the Covid-19 test.

Another citizen mentioned that they are being asked to wait. “Until when should we wait? We are not children who can just sit here and play while we wait,” he said, emphasizing that a solution should be found.

“Our demand is to remove the deportation from us, restore the tickets, and ensure we have no issues there,” he stated, mentioning that they were deported because authorities in Russia claimed that their documents were fake.

“It’s not a small amount, it’s over a million drams, and we owe the state a hundred drams, yet we are being fined. We will wait until our issues are resolved, and none of us will be leaving here. We will spend the night here,” he concluded.
