Human Rights Defender Advocates for Business Position
The individual reviewing complaints related to state procurement has upheld the complaint of a participant in state purchases, in a case where a representative of the Human Rights Defender was involved in the examination of the complaint.
Specifically, the participant in the state procurement raised an issue with the Human Rights Defender, indicating that the Ministry of Finance initiated a procedure to include him on a list of participants not entitled to take part in the procurement process, seeking the Human Rights Defender's support.
In December 2020, the representative of the Human Rights Defender was once again involved in the examination of a complaint related to state procurement. During the meeting, the position of the Defender in favor of the business entity was also presented, leading to the outcome that the business entity was not included on the list of participants not entitled to participate in the procurement process.
