Health Minister Visits Oncology and Hematology Centers
Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan, along with Deputy Ministers Artyom Simbatyan and Gevorg Simonian, and acting Secretary of the Ministry of Health Varduhi Grigoryan, visited the National Center for Oncology named after V.A. Fanarjyan.
Accompanied by the center's director Narek Manukyan, the officials toured the renovated departments, visited the chemotherapy outdoor area, and examined the facilities in the operating room and intensive care unit. They also visited the newly opened women's health clinic and the surgical oncology division.
Narek Manukyan presented the center's capabilities and available resources, recent reforms, and equipment enhancements. At the same time, they discussed upcoming projects and planned initiatives.
Anahit Avanesyan positively assessed all changes and expressed hope that good conditions and resource availability would ensure desirable outcomes in the treatment process.
Subsequently, the minister and her deputies visited the Hematology Center named after Prof. R. Yolyan, where they toured the facility with the director Samvel Danielyan.
Samvel Danielyan highlighted the changes made at the center and its current capabilities and resources. During the visit, Anahit Avanesyan met with children undergoing treatment, spoke with their parents, inquired about the children's treatment progress, and wished them a speedy recovery.
At the end of the visit, a meeting was held with the staff of the Hematology Center. They presented the center's achievements by departments and shared challenges and new ideas.
The minister praised the staff's determination to implement ambitious projects and emphasized that the potential for having the best and most competitive hematology services in the region is evident.
