Russia to Resume Regular Flights with Armenia Starting February 15
Russia will resume regular flights with Armenia starting February 15. This was announced by the press service of the Russian government.
"A decision has been made to restore international air communications with Armenia (Moscow - Yerevan, four flights per week) on a reciprocal basis from February 15, 2021," the statement said.
In March 2020, Russia halted all foreign commercial passenger flights due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Since February 1, 2021, a pilot program called "Traveling Without COVID-19" has been in place between the two countries, allowing Armenian citizens to cross Russian air borders with a negative test result taken 72 hours prior.
The Russian government announced on February 3 that air communication with Azerbaijan will also be restored, with two flights per week from Moscow to Baku.
