61-Year-Old Driver Hits Pedestrian in Tavush
On February 2, a fatal accident occurred in the Tavush region. Around 19:30, a 61-year-old resident of Ditavan village, Arshak S., struck a pedestrian, 48-year-old Armen M. from Alaverdi, while driving a VAZ 21 06 vehicle on the 144.5 km of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and transported the injured pedestrian to the "Ijevan" medical center; however, he succumbed to his injuries on the way. The driver reported the incident to the Ijevan Police Department.
