Assessment Process for Individuals Needing Prosthetics Begins Tomorrow, Minister

The state has the responsibility to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of people's lives. This was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan on his Facebook page.

“Individuals who sustained severe injuries during the war will be under the state’s exclusive care, as they are devoted individuals who selflessly fulfilled their duty towards our homeland. Providing prosthetics according to international standards to those in need is one of the first steps we will take. This is the least we can do for those who have shown unconditional self-sacrifice in defense of our homeland,” he stated.

“Thus, starting from tomorrow, February 3, in collaboration with our partners in Artsakh, we will begin the multidimensional assessment process for individuals needing prosthetics. The aim is to acquire comprehensive and detailed information about the type of prosthetic needed, its functionality, and to provide a conclusion regarding necessary services for professional rehabilitation, adaptation of living spaces, workplaces, and development of skills for independent living, using a specially created assessment toolkit.”

“Our multidisciplinary teams will establish contact with individuals needing prosthetics, discuss the days and times for visiting their locations, and organize the entire needs assessment process. There is no need to fill out any application. Our specialists have all the necessary contact details and will personally reach out to the beneficiaries.”

“We are grateful for your service…” the minister wrote.
