Scientists Have Shared Their Opinions and Are Working on Their Tasks, Not Every Day Do We Engage in It. RAAS President Radik Martirosyan

Scientists have shared their opinions and are working on their tasks, not every day do we engage in it. Today, during a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's resignation demand, RAAS President Radik Martirosyan emphasized, “The demand for resignation cannot only be measured by the people in the streets; I believe many people sitting at home share the same opinion. If there are elections, people will express their opinions in a more legitimate manner.”

Speaking about the rumors regarding the dissolution of the RAAS, Martirosyan stated that those claims do not correspond to reality. “The discussion is about the status of institutes within the RAAS system. The law does not specify who oversees these institutes; our demand is to regulate that issue. I believe it’s unnecessary to have a new law on 'Science' today when there are already two laws in effect: 'On Science and Scientific Policy' and 'On the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.' If there are issues, we can make changes to those laws; we are ready,” said the RAAS president.

According to him, today our country has its place in the world and can achieve an honorable high level, which our people, history, and past deserve.
