Multiple Instances of Parents Trying to Prevent Their Children from Returning to the Army - Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense has reported that parents are attempting to prevent their children from returning to the army in various ways, in response to a written inquiry from Aysor.am.

- Complaints have been received at the editorial office from parents of servicemen who returned from Artsakh on leave, stating that hospitals refuse to provide medical assistance to servicemen in cases of health issues. The reasoning provided is that it is a directive from the Ministry of Defense. We request a response regarding whether there is such an order not to assist servicemen on leave, and if so, for what purpose.

- No directive has been issued prohibiting the provision of necessary medical assistance to servicemen on leave.

- There are reports suggesting that this order is due to the fact that many servicemen try not to return to service after coming on leave. Have there been such cases or not?

- Yes, there are multiple instances where parents are trying various methods to prevent their children from returning to the army.

- After returning from Artsakh, do servicemen return to Artsakh once again, or do they continue their service in the Republic of Armenia?

- This question is still undergoing regulation, as servicemen on leave are required to continue their service in the army.
