Arshak Zakaryan Released from Detention, Arrest Warrant Denied

Arshak Zakaryan was released from detention as his arrest warrant was denied. This was reported by lawyer Tigran Atanesyan on his Facebook page.

Earlier, it was announced that five individuals—Aragats Akhoyan, Arshak Zakaryan, Vaghin Chakhalyan, Tigran Chobanyan, and Israel Hakobkoyan—were arrested on suspicion of attempting to seize the government building. They were charged under Article 34-219, Part 2, Point 1 of the Criminal Code for attempting, by prior agreement among a group of individuals, to seize buildings.

It is worth reminding that on January 28, a group of citizens held a protest in Republic Square demanding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan. They moved towards the Prosecutor's Office, demanding that the Chief Prosecutor come out to address their request for the arrest of Nikol Pashinyan. The Prosecutor did not come out, and the citizens proceeded to the Government building, where clashes occurred between the police and the citizens, and some individuals attempted to enter the Government building.
