Even Cigarette Sales Have Declined, Reports 'Hraparak'

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'After the war, the economy is experiencing a downturn, and many businesses are facing difficulties, going bankrupt, halting production, and sending employees on forced leave. One of Armenia's largest taxpayers, 'Masis Tobacco,' owned by the Vardanyan family, has sent its employees home. In this tobacco production facility, approximately 80 percent of the workers have been put on forced leave, citing a lack of demand, and production is temporarily halted.

It should be noted that the Vardanyan family was among the first to support the revolution and Nikol Pashinyan. However, today the economic crisis in the country has deepened to the point where even the most in-demand products, such as cigarettes, no longer have consumers. Meanwhile, 'Grand Holding' is not only experiencing declines in consumption across all products but has also closed its owned 'AR' television station, not participating in the competition announced for slots.
