Apple Admits iPhone 12 Can Be Harmful to Health
Apple has acknowledged that the iPhone 12 could pose a risk to individuals with heart conditions. This was reported on the company's website, as conveyed by Lenta.
Representatives of the company emphasized that the iPhone 12 contains a certain amount of magnets, which exceed the quantity found in previous Apple smartphone models. Moreover, these magnets can interfere with implanted cardiac devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators when in close proximity.
In this regard, it is advised to keep the device at least 15 centimeters (approximately 6 inches) away from such devices during wireless charging, or at a distance of 30 centimeters (about 12 inches) when not in use.
Apple representatives also recommended consulting with a physician, healthcare professional, or the manufacturer of medical devices before using the iPhone 12.
