VIDEO. Kocharian Has Extensive Experience, Economic Growth Was Observed During His Presidency: Hrant Tokhatyan
Discussions about snap parliamentary elections can only take place when the current government resigns, after which a national salvation committee will be formed to lead new elections. This was stated today, January 28, during a rally in Republic Square by the Honored Artist of Armenia, Hrant Tokhatyan.
In response to the remark that former President Robert Kocharian has announced he will participate in elections if they take place, Tokhatyan said, “Robert Kocharian has extensive experience, and there was economic growth during his presidency. Naturally, he also had significant shortcomings, which is probably why we have the government we do today. These shortcomings occurred under the leadership of the first, second, and third presidents, which is not entirely correct. The protests today are related to this; over the past 30 years, we have lost faith.”
