Masked Individuals Entered Home, Tied Up Owner, and Stole Money and Jewelry

On January 27, an 84-year-old woman reported to the Artashat police department that on January 26, around 11:00 PM, masked individuals illegally entered her home, bound her hands and feet with tape, and then stole money and gold jewelry from her bedroom.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 175 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Thanks to urgent operational-investigative measures taken by the officers of the Artashat police department and the Ararat regional directorate, the identity of the perpetrator was established.

A 27-year-old resident of Shahumyan village has been detained on suspicion of robbery and was brought to the Artashat police department, where he has confessed to the crime and was arrested. The circumstances of the case are being clarified.
