Protests Erupt in Amsterdam as Demonstrators Throw Stones and Fireworks at Police; Arrests Made
Protests have resumed in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, but the police have managed to maintain control of the situation. A large crowd gathered in one of the city districts, throwing stones and fireworks at the police, prompting special police units to intervene and disperse the crowd.
Protests also took place in Rotterdam, where 33 demonstrators were arrested for vandalism. According to TASS, it is important to note that a curfew was declared in the Netherlands starting January 23 due to the coronavirus situation, which has led to unrest in various cities across the country. Demonstrators have been breaking shop windows and glass, overturning and setting vehicles on fire.
