Prime Minister Chairs Discussion on Economic Response Program Draft
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a consultation was held at the government where the draft of the Economic Response Program was discussed, along with a preliminary action plan.
The draft pertains to points 9 and 10 of the "Roadmap" published by the Prime Minister on November 18. Point 9 addresses overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic and eliminating its consequences, while point 10 focuses on restoring the economic activity environment.
The Prime Minister noted that the government is effectively making various decisions every week related to implementing the "Roadmap" published on November 18. "Today, we adopted yet another such decision at the government session. We are to discuss the draft of the action program through which we should restore the economic activity environment and generally formulate and solve new economic challenges ahead of us. Of course, today we will discuss it preliminarily and I hope that as a result of a week’s discussion, we will manage to formalize the program at a government session as a government decision, document it and move forward to its implementation," said the Prime Minister.
It was noted that the program is designed to include targeted, significant, and visible actions aimed at stimulating economic activity. The program has been developed taking into account the current challenges and issues faced.
During the consultation, detailed attention was given to the measures and steps planned in the action program, with various proposals and observations presented.
Summarizing, the Prime Minister instructed the responsible parties to refine the draft based on the presented proposals and submit it for government approval.
