Citizens Wounded in War to Receive 500,000 Dram Support

Citizens injured as a result of the war unleashed by the Republic of Azerbaijan against Artsakh on September 27, 2020, will receive a one-time support of 500,000 dram. This was announced today during a government session by Armenia's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan, who presented the draft decision.

“Those included among the injured are all individuals—not just conscripted soldiers but also volunteers from the territorial defense forces. In other words, all those who were wounded and received treatment for some time in military and civilian hospitals,” said Arakelyan.

Only individuals with 1st and 2nd degree disabilities who are already receiving state support will not benefit from this assistance. According to the ministry's calculations, around 6,000 citizens will be eligible for the program.
