Armenian Minister of Economy Signs Memorandum to Strengthen Armenian-Iranian Business Ties
The delegation led by the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Vahan Kerobyan, visiting Iran for a working trip, has held a series of important meetings. This information was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Iran.
In particular, the Armenian delegation met with Sorena Satari, the Vice President of Iran for Science and Technology, Reza Ardakanian, the Iranian Minister of Energy and Co-Chair of the Armenia-Iran Intergovernmental Joint Commission, Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Farhad Dezhpasand, the Minister of Economy and Finance, as well as Gholamhossein Shafei, the President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture. The Armenian delegation also met with the management of the Shasta Holding and Mapna Company.
“During the meetings, Minister Kerobyan and senior Iranian officials discussed various topics, particularly the potential for cooperation between Armenia and Iran in high technology and science, finance and economy, trade, investments, transport, and energy sectors, as well as upcoming joint projects. A memorandum aimed at strengthening Armenian-Iranian business ties and encouraging joint investment projects was signed,” the statement said.
It was noted that agreements have been reached to organize several reciprocal visits in the current year.
Recall that the delegation led by Minister Vahan Kerobyan departed for the Islamic Republic of Iran on January 22 to discuss prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The visit included meetings with senior Iranian officials, representatives of the Armenian community, Armenian businessmen, and exporters, as well as visits to several enterprises, companies, and organizations.
