Stepantsminda-Lars Highway Open; Over 1000 Trucks Stuck on Russian Side
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia’s Emergency Management Department and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles. However, there are over 1000 trucks stuck on the Russian side.
Information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia indicates that the ban on foreigners entering Georgia remains in effect. This restriction does not apply to cargo transportation.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
