Parents of Fallen Soldiers in Azerbaijan Block Major City Avenue

Parents of fallen soldiers in Azerbaijan held a protest demanding a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. The issue is that they refuse to bury their sons in the "Avenue of Martyrs." Instead of an honorary burial, most of the deceased have been interred in the Garadagh region, far from the capital, reports the Turan agency.

Seventeen family members gathered near the government building, demanding a resolution to their issue. They were directed to the Salian military base, where they were supposed to meet with Deputy Defense Minister Kerrim Veliev; however, he was not present on-site. As a result, the protesters blocked one of the city's largest avenues. Only after that did leaders from the military meet with them.
