Lars is Closed: 820 Trucks Accumulated on the Russian Side

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for passenger vehicles. Additionally, 820 trucks are currently accumulated on the Russian side.

Information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia indicates that the decision to restrict entry for foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. However, this ban does not apply to freight transport.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
