Anahit Avanesyan Denies Having Shares in Armfarmacia Company, Confirms Her Mother Does

The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, denied during a conversation with journalists that she and her husband hold shares in the Armfarmacia company. However, she confirmed that her mother does own a share.

“My husband, Stepan Avanesyan, is not involved in the management of Armfarmacia. I do not hold shares, my husband does not hold shares, but my mother does have a small share. I do not see any conflict of interest because the Ministry of Health is governed by the law on purchases,” she stated, refuting reports that her husband has business interests with former Minister and Head of the Prime Minister's Office Arsen Torosyan.
