Aliyev's Appeals to Erdogan on October 18 and November 4: 'I Am Exhausted and Cannot Continue' - Shahnazaryan
‘On two occasions, October 3 and October 11, Pashinyan rejected a European country’s offer to send air defense systems to Armenia, or more precisely, drone combat systems,’ stated David Shahnazaryan, the former director of the National Security Service (NSS), during the latest episode of the ‘Pressing’ program.
In response to S. Seyranian’s clarifying question about whether that country was France, he replied in the affirmative.
‘I am responsible for everything I say, and they will not even attempt to deny it because I am also mentioning the dates when this happened,’ he added.
According to S. Seyranian, during meetings with representatives of the Armenian community, French President Macron expressed his surprise and confusion regarding this matter, proposing assistance; however, Pashinyan declined the offer.
Shahnazaryan claimed that on two occasions, October 18 and November 4, Aliyev contacted Erdogan, stating that he was exhausted and could not continue.
‘Moreover, based on my information, for the first time on October 18, following that phone conversation, Erdogan requested Aliyev to make a written appeal, which he did,’ Shahnazaryan stated, adding that if one observes the transportation from Turkey to Azerbaijan, which has been exclusively of a military nature, those transports increased significantly after October 18.
