Protests in Georgia Result in Dozens Detained
The police in Georgia have arrested dozens of opposition activists who were holding a protest ahead of the "Georgian Dream" party congress.
The activists are protesting the results of the recent parliamentary elections, claiming that members of the ruling party falsified the results, stating that they effectively "stole the elections" from the Georgian people.
The detentions began after the gathered crowd attempted to light colored smoke bombs and display a banner reading "We will not accept stolen elections."
