Criminal Case Initiated Over Alleged Embezzlement in Ayb Educational Foundation Project

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with an alleged embezzlement incident occurring within the framework of a project implemented by the Ayb Educational Foundation. This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office.

Based on a letter received from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, an investigation was conducted in the State Interest Protection Department of the RA Prosecutor General's Office, followed by materials prepared by the RA Police's Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division. The investigation focused on possible abuses within the framework of the 'National Program for Educational Excellence' operated by the Ayb Educational Foundation, particularly regarding the alleged misappropriation of approximately 8.3 million AMD allocated from the state budget as a donation for the purpose of program implementation.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 179, Part 3, Clause 1 of the RA Criminal Code. The case has been forwarded to the Investigative Committee of Armenia for further investigation.
