Ara Ayvazyan Discusses Steps to Expand Armenian-British Relations with Wendy Morton
On January 15, Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan had a phone conversation with Wendy Morton, the United Kingdom's Permanent Under-Secretary for European Neighbourhood and the Americas. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the conversation, both sides addressed the situation regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the steps being taken to eliminate the consequences of Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh. They emphasized the importance of addressing the issues of peaceful resolution of the NK conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.
The Armenian Foreign Minister highlighted the unconditional implementation of obligations related to prisoners of war, hostages, and other detained persons as enshrined in the trilateral statement of November 9 as a priority for the Armenian side.
Ara Ayvazyan and Wendy Morton exchanged views on steps to expand the agenda of Armenian-British relations and enhance political dialogue.
