Current Situation on Armenia's Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that as of 20:00, there are closed roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. In Aragatsotn province, the roads from the 'Amberd' high mountainous meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and to Kari Lake are closed.

The M-6 interstate road section from the Hajap’at junction to the Neghots area will be closed on January 15 from 13:30 to 17:00 due to blasting work.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stefanantsminda-Lars road is closed to all types of vehicles due to the danger of avalanches, and there is a buildup of 100 freight trucks on the Russian side.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the decision to prohibit foreign nationals from entering Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transportation. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
