Why the Yerevan Municipality Allocated 24 Million Drams for Gazelle Wrapping. Karapetyan Explains

Today, David Khajakyan, the leader of the "Lus" faction of the Yerevan Council, wrote on his Facebook page that, according to a decision by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan, 24 million drams are being allocated from the "Yerevan" foundation for wrapping 100 Gazelles according to a "developed design" to the company "Anahit Sukiasyan" LLC.

In a conversation with ArmDaily.am, the press secretary of the Yerevan Mayor, Hakob Karapetyan, stated that the vehicles have been completely painted white. "Vehicles in other colors have different prices; any other factory-produced color is more expensive for the community. The community has its own branding for buses and vehicles, and to achieve these colors in Yerevan, the vehicles are wrapped," he added.

In response to the question of how the company was chosen to provide this service, Karapetyan mentioned that he was not familiar with the details. He also noted that this procurement pertains only to the specified 100 vehicles, but it is possible that this practice may be applied in the future.
