Power Outages to Be Conducted in Several Communities of Gegharkunik Region

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department has announced that in January 2021, training exercises titled "Air Alarm" will be held in the communities of Vardenis, Geghamabak, Akunk, Khachaghbyur, Vanevan, Torfavaz, Shatjrek, Shatvan, Shoghakat, Aghberk, Artanish, Chambarak, Vahan, Aygut, Dprabak, Dzoravank, the village of Martuni, Getik, T’tujur, Martuni, Yeranos, Tsakqar, Vardenis, Gavar, Noratus, Lanjaghbyur, Gegharkunik, and Sevan.

During these exercises, power outages will be simulated by turning off the electrical circuits as part of the training. The authorities urge residents of the aforementioned communities not to panic.
