Discussions Held on Alleviating the Credit Burden of Artsakh Citizens

From January 10 to 12, 2021, a delegation from the Standing Committee on Financial-Budgetary and Economic Management of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, led by Committee Chairman Arthur Harutyunyan, held working meetings with the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Issues of the National Assembly of Armenia, Arkadi Khachaturyan, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Issues, Babken Tunyan.

The discussions focused on the post-war economic situation in Artsakh, current issues related to the financial system, economic and social problems, tax matters, and potential solutions. The parties agreed to make such meetings continuous and expressed their willingness to collaboratively address emerging issues.

Subsequently, within the framework of this visit, the delegation from the National Assembly of Artsakh also met with representatives of the Central Bank of Armenia. They discussed issues related to alleviating the credit burden on the citizens of Artsakh and reached agreements to continue discussions with banks regarding deferrals of credit obligations and the possibility of restructuring them.

The meetings were conducted in a constructive and mutual understanding atmosphere.
