Changes Made to Support Programs for Artsakh Armenians
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Mesrop Arakelyan, provided details on his Facebook page regarding the "Support Programs for Artsakh Armenians."
“Dear Artsakh residents, changes have been made to the support programs approved by the Government, and I would like to present some information and clarifications on this matter.
Although potential beneficiaries of the support programs have almost completely applied, and over 95 percent of beneficiaries in some programs have already received actual assistance, there are still citizens who encounter problems when applying. Therefore, I would like to inform you:
- The deadline for accepting applications for support provided to citizens registered in Artsakh (68,000 drams + 15,000 drams if there is no ownership), support for citizens registered in lost settlements (300,000 drams for each citizen), and support for residents who lost their housing due to destruction and other reasons (250,000 drams for each citizen) has been extended until January 27, 2021.
- The deadline for accepting applications for the event of hosting Artsakh residents in Armenia and Artsakh (30,000 drams for each adult in Armenia and 45,000 drams in Artsakh) has been extended until January 20, 2021.
- The requirement to be present in Armenia or Artsakh on November 16, 2020, to become a program beneficiary has been removed, as it served as a basis for rejection in certain cases.
- The deadline for the requirement of being registered in Artsakh (November 16, 2020) has also been removed, which will allow you to become a beneficiary of the programs by registering in Artsakh at this time.
I ask the citizens not included in the support programs for understanding regarding these changes and inform you:
- Citizens whose applications were rejected due to a technical error related to the requirement of being in Armenia or Artsakh may reapply.
- Citizens who did not apply due to not being registered in Artsakh can register at passport centers (those in Armenia will soon have the opportunity to apply at passport centers in Armenia as well).
It is worth mentioning that being registered in Artsakh is not only a mandatory condition for this but also for future programs. Therefore, we kindly request you to be diligent on the registration matter.
If, nonetheless, there are cases that will become grounds for rejection, you can fill out an application in the complaints section of the website online.ssa.am; the applications will be discussed individually by our partners in Artsakh.
The Ministry receives daily information regarding unresolved applications from the Government of Artsakh, based on which actual assistance is provided. I assure you that we are doing everything possible in daily cooperation with our partners in Artsakh to provide quick and effective solutions to the social problems that arose after the war,” he stated.
