The investigative authority has selected a bail of 2 million dram for Arush Arushanyan, the mayor of Goris. This was stated by Arushanyan's defender, Armen Melkonyan, in a conversation with Tert.am. He noted that the decision was made a few days ago.
Arushyan's lawyer pointed out that the prosecution does not seem to have appealed the decision of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction not to detain Arushanyan. In a conversation with Tert.am, Aravik Khachatryan, the head of the public relations department of the Prosecutor General's Office, confirmed that the prosecution has not appealed the decision to refrain from detaining Arushanyan.
It is worth noting that according to the statement released by the Investigative Committee, Arushanyan is accused of abusing official authority, organizing illegal entrepreneurship, violating the rules for the preservation and use of natural resources, self-justice, intentionally causing average bodily harm, and attempting to organize and conduct a gathering in violation of the established procedure.
