Artsakh Foreign Ministry Condemns Azerbaijan's Violation of Ceasefire Regime
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a statement regarding Azerbaijan's violation of the ceasefire regime that led to the injury of an Armenian serviceman.
The statement reads: “On January 13, the armed forces of Azerbaijan grossly violated the ceasefire regime in the central direction of the contact line. As a result of the incident, a serviceman of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh sustained a gunshot wound.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh strongly condemns the provocative actions of the Azerbaijani side and characterizes them as actions aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and disrupting peacekeeping efforts. Such dangerous behavior is unacceptable and constitutes a gross violation of the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, made by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan, regarding the complete cessation of fire and all military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
We call on Azerbaijan to strictly adhere to the obligations undertaken within the framework of the trilateral statement and to refrain from provocative actions that may disrupt the established ceasefire regime.”
