Seven Arrested in France over Teacher's Murder Case

Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of history teacher Samuel Paty, which occurred in October last year, according to BFMTV. As reported by Armenpress, citing RIA Novosti, those arrested participated in the same discussion groups as Abdulakh Anzorov, the individual who murdered the educator.

Previously, there had been reports of numerous arrests related to this case. Specifically, at the beginning of December, media outlets reported the arrest of young people suspected of communications with Anzorov.

On October 16, a French history teacher, Samuel Paty, was attacked near a school in the Conflans-Sainte-Honorine community after he showed caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad during his classes. The assailant beheaded him and was subsequently shot dead by the police. According to the prosecutor's office, the murderer was born in Moscow in 2002 and was of Chechen descent, having been granted refugee status in France.
