Halotherapy Center Opens in Nerkin Getashen Community
A halotherapy center will soon operate in the Nerkin Getashen community of Gegharkunik province, providing an opportunity for both adults and children to restore their health through salt treatment methods. This was announced by Gegharkunik Governor Gnel Sanosyan on his Facebook page.
“Today, I got acquainted with the preparatory work for launching the center. This center is currently the first and only one of its kind in Gegharkunik province. Separate rooms have been allocated for adults and children for salt therapy treatment. The center will also feature rooms for aromatherapy and oxygen therapy, where treatments will be administered using different essential oils and oxygen cocktails. After specialist training, a massage service will also be available, which can be combined with salt therapy sessions.
Halotherapy is a globally tested and effective method for treating various diseases using negative ions from salt. It is one of the best ways to boost people's immunity. This method can be used to treat upper respiratory infections, frontal sinusitis, rhinitis, various allergies, insomnia, skin inflammation-related ailments, post-stroke and post-myocardial infarction conditions, psoriasis, and other disorders. Healthy individuals can also seek treatment here to enhance their immunity and prevent upcoming illnesses.
The course of treatment is determined and prescribed based on a professional examination. The cost of services will be set to ensure it is affordable for the local population while remaining lower than that of similar services in the capital. The therapy duration for adults is 40 minutes, while it is 30 minutes for children.
Emphasizing the initiative for the establishment of the center, I hope it will serve the purpose of maintaining and improving the health of the population and contribute to the development of the healthcare system in the region. A new method of treatment is being introduced in our province, which is not only unique but also in demand and important. I believe the center will operate effectively, providing high-quality services to the community and having significant prospects for development and recognition, ensuring stable jobs as well. Within our capabilities, we will support such initiatives. The newly opened halotherapy center will start operating in the coming days,” wrote the governor.
