Distributor of Drugs to Minors Detected
The police of the Gavar Division revealed another case of illegal drug trafficking on January 8. According to the police of the Republic of Armenia, at around 17:30, officers from the division dealing with minors and family violence prevention presented two minors for suspicion of possessing and using drugs, accompanied by a "Hyundai Elantra" vehicle in the city of Gavar.
During the search of the vehicle, a cigarette box was discovered, containing a dry, crushed plant substance with a distinctive odor, as well as a plastic container with burn marks. It later became clear that one of the minors had acquired the cannabis-like substance from a 22-year-old resident of Andranik Street in Gavar.
The suspect was detained the same day by the police of Gavar. Hours later, he presented law enforcement officers with the dried-crushed cannabis-like substance from a threshing floor next to his house, stating that the drugs were made from cannabis plants grown on their land.
An examination has been appointed. Materials are being prepared on the incident.
