Turkey's Foreign Minister to Visit Brussels on January 21
Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit Brussels on January 21. According to the TASS news agency, this was announced during a press briefing by Peter Stano, a representative of the EU's foreign policy service.
"We can confirm that the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister will take place on January 21," he stated. Stano did not elaborate on the agenda of the upcoming visit, nor did he respond to reporters' questions regarding the potential for the EU to impose sanctions on Turkey for conducting geological exploration work in the Mediterranean.
During the summit held in Brussels on December 10-11, the leaders of EU member countries decided to prepare a report in anticipation of the upcoming summit in March, focusing on the review of relations with Turkey and the possibility of imposing economic sanctions.
