Vazgen Manukyan Appeals to the Foreign Minister, NSS Director, and Chief of the General Staff
Dear Mr. Ara Aivazyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Dear Colonel Armen Abazyan, Director of the National Security Service,
Dear General Onik Gasparyan, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces,
Our country finds itself in an extremely dangerous situation. We have suffered enormous human and territorial losses. Our sovereignty has diminished. The security system of the Republic of Armenia has been undermined. Concessions and losses continue due to the questionable and anti-state decisions of the defeated Prime Minister. Our society is unaware of with whom and what agreements have been made.
There are numerous concerns and anxieties regarding the scheduled meeting between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev on January 11 among a wide political and social circle. The situation is volatile and fraught with unpredictable developments.
You, by virtue of your official positions, bear responsibility for all decisions made and to be made, and you are obliged to present the reality to the public. If necessary, you are required to prevent the adoption of anti-state decisions by protecting the interests of the state and the people.
We appeal to you, demanding a meeting with representatives of the Homeland Salvation Movement on January 9. We expect your clarifications regarding the current situation.
Thank you in advance.
