Snow Falls in Several Regions of Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads across the territory of Armenia. In the Aragatsotn Province, the roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed. In the Vayots Dzor Province, the road from Areni to Khachik is also closed. The Vardenyats Mountain Pass in Vayots Dzor is closed to trucks with trailers, while it remains difficult for other vehicles.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in Gegharkunik Province, Vardenyats Mountain Pass, and on roads in Syunik Province, as well as in the Akhuryan area of Shirak Province and the Artik-Alagyaz road.
Snow is falling in Vayots Dzor, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Shirak Provinces, as well as in the Armavir Province's Armavir and Baghramyan areas, and in the Spitak region of Lori Province.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open to all types of vehicles.
Information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia indicates that the decision to prohibit foreign nationals from entering Georgia remains in effect, although the ban does not apply to cargo transportation.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
