Data Released That Should Have Been Investigated Days Ago: Mikayel Hambardzumyan
I do not want to comment on my statement at this time or describe any facts, events, or circumstances. Mikayel Hambardzumyan, the former acting director of the National Security Service, stated this during a conversation with reporters in Yerablur, responding to the observation that he had mentioned that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had instructed to pursue political actions against the opposition.
"I do not want to address my resignation demands; I can only say that I plan to hold a press conference in the near future. Of course, I will refrain from presenting narrow personal conversations or circumstances because I believe that a security officer should not disclose information that he has received while performing his official duties. However, I will definitely speak about matters related to our country's security and those circumstances in which I see a threat," he announced.
In response to the observation that reserve officers have issued a statement calling for an investigation into the information about agreements between Nikol Pashinyan and the leader of the opposing state, Aliyev, Hambardzumyan replied that he remains of his opinion. "I fully share my colleagues' concerns; data has been published that should have been the subject of investigation days ago and in full depth. I am even ready, as an experienced investigator or head of an investigative team, to conduct a preliminary investigation if granted the relevant authority, because this is currently the most concerning issue for me," he stated.
