Car Leaves Road and Crashes into Slope on Ijevan-Berd Highway; 3 People Hospitalized

On December 20th, at 01:49 AM, the Tavush Crisis Management Center received a report about an accident on the Ijevan-Berd highway, near the village of Vazashen. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A team from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with an operational group from the Taüsh special facilities protection unit, was dispatched to the scene.

It was found that a "VAZ-2109" vehicle (driver: Emil H., born in 1983; passengers: Hrachik H., born in 1979, and Sasun H., born in 1975) had veered off the roadway at the 32nd kilometer of the Ijevan-Berd highway and collided with a slope.

Rescuers managed to extricate the passenger Sasun H. from the wreckage. The driver and two passengers were hospitalized at the Ijevan Medical Center, where their health condition was assessed as moderate severity.

Rescuers also disconnected the car's battery and closed the gas cylinder valve.
