FIFA's Best Player of the Year is Robert Lewandowski

The FIFA Best Awards ceremony took place online in Zurich, Switzerland. According to Armenpress, the award for the best female goalkeeper of the year went to Sarah Bouhaddi from Lyon, France. Notably, FIFA has granted this award for the second consecutive year.

Last year, the best goalkeeper recognized by FIFA was Manuel Neuer from Bayern Munich, Germany. The Puskás Award for best goal of 2020 was won by Son Heung-min from Tottenham.

The best women's coach award went to Sarina Wiegman, while the men's award was given to Jürgen Klopp from Liverpool, for the second year in a row. The Fair Play award was presented to Mattia Agnese, who saved an opponent's life after they lost consciousness due to a collision during a game.

The best team of the year includes: Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Sergio Ramos, Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich, Kevin De Bruyne, Thiago Alcântara, Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

During the evening, special attention was also given to Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona, who had recently passed away.

The best female footballer of the year award went to Lucy Bronze from Manchester City. The highly anticipated award for the best male footballer of the year was awarded to Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
