Turks Declared from Their Trench: 'Go Back to Your Positions,' Says Syunik Governor

The Governor of Syunik, Melikset Poghosyan, commented on the situation at the border of the Kapan Agarak community regarding information circulating online in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.

Poghosyan noted that a combat 'level 1' readiness has been declared in the region and enhanced surveillance is being conducted.

He reported that there have been no shots fired from the enemy towards Armenian territory and combat positions.

The governor also denied reports of an enemy attack on the Kapan airport and the village of Agarak. 'The Turks simply declared from their trench with a loudspeaker, urging us to go back to our positions,' he stated.

The governor emphasized that combat 'level 1' readiness is currently in effect, and heightened supervision is being carried out.
