Armavir Region's Amberd Fortress and Kary Lake Access Roads Closed

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The access roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kary Lake in the Armavir region are closed.

On the Spitak serpentine from the village of Nigavan, the Artik-Alagyaz road in the Shirak region, and the Goris-Kapan road in the Syunik region, there are areas of black ice.

According to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepanizminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

As for the information received from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to cargo transport.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
