38,341 Refugees Return to Artsakh, Ceasefire Maintained Along the Contact Line

The Russian Ministry of Defense has provided details regarding humanitarian assistance for the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh, as well as the restoration of civilian infrastructure. According to the ministry, engineering reconnaissance and demining operations continue in Stepanakert. An area of 8 hectares has been cleared, along with a 7 km stretch of road, including Marshal Baghramyan Street in Stepanakert, and 50 buildings. A total of 51 unexploded ordnance has been identified and removed from the area for destruction.

Accompanied by Russian peacekeepers, a total of 38,341 refugees have returned to Artsakh. Russian doctors have provided outpatient medical assistance to 23 locals in the Aygestan community.

The ceasefire regime is being maintained along the entire contact line. On December 11, one incident of violation was recorded in the Hadrut region. Thanks to the actions of the Russian peacekeepers, the likelihood of further escalation of the situation has been prevented,” the Russian Ministry of Defense reports.
