We'll Send Nairi's Writings About My Sister to the NSS for Verification: Daniel Ioannisyan
Daniel Ioannisyan, the founder and program coordinator of the 'Informed Citizens' Union NGO, wrote on his Facebook page: 'This is Nairi, who considers himself a journalist and is actually spreading conscious lies. Nairi has written a bunch of lies about my sister, who went to Stepanakert to provide voluntary support on October 10.'
'My sister went without my knowledge. The ceasefire was violated, and my sister fell under shelling and was scared. Some found her behavior suspicious and took her to a shelter, confiscated her phone, and examined it completely before calling the NSS. The NSS quickly understood on the spot that she was just a frightened child, returned her phone, and took her to a hotel. After that, I learned that my sister was in Stepanakert.'
'However, Nairi, by changing the date of that story and distorting the facts, presented the narrative as if my sister had come to their shelter and photographed some strategic objects, and that the NSS had been instructed from Yerevan to release her.'
'Nairi did not mention that during the incident, the phone was taken from the child, and she was not allowed to call anywhere. Nairi deviously lies about the NSS finding any pictures of objects on my sister's phone, as there were no such pictures, and it was not the NSS that examined the phone, but they themselves. They did not tell the NSS anything about a picture of any object (as there were no such pictures). Nairi did not write that the NSS examined the case before their eyes and was convinced that there was no problem and helped my sister reach the hotel without receiving any calls from anywhere.'
'In the end, knowing me very well and theoretically knowing the rules of journalistic ethics, Nairi could have asked me about this story before writing. But Nairi knew that if he asked, he wouldn't be able to spread these lies about my sister.'
'We will send what Nairi wrote to the NSS for verification, and after it is not confirmed, we will demand that a case be initiated against him for false denunciation. Lies should have limits.'
P.S. 'Nairi was also spreading lies during the war, and when I told him in a personal message that it was false, he replied that he knew it but that it was necessary. I can publish that conversation screenshot if necessary.'
