Top World's Most Powerful Air Forces Revealed: World Air Forces 2020
British Flight International magazine analysts have determined the military capabilities of the USA, Russia, China, India, and South Korea. The World Air Forces 2020 ranking is led by the United States Air Force, consisting of 13,232 units, which makes up 25 percent of the global air force inventory.
Russia, with 4,143 military aircraft and helicopters (8 percent of the global military aviation inventory), ranks second. China follows in third place with 3,260 units (6 percent of the global inventory). India is in fourth place, boasting 2,119 aircraft and helicopters (4 percent of the world’s air forces). South Korea ranks fifth, contributing 3 percent to the global inventory.
The top ten most powerful air forces in the world also include Japan, Pakistan, France, Turkey, and Egypt. The World Air Forces 2020 ranking is presented in an infographic by Sputnik Armenia.
