Today's Attack Violates the First Point of the Agreement and Might Further Violations in the Future
Deputy Edmon Marukyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Dear citizens,
According to information received from Artsakh, the Azerbaijani armed forces have attacked the villages of Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd in the Hadrut region (Artsakh). According to some sources, they have captured these villages, violating the first point of the trilateral statement signed on November 9, 2020, by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, N. Pashinyan, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I. Aliyev, and the President of the Russian Federation, V. Putin. According to this statement, a complete ceasefire is declared in the conflict zone starting from November 10, 2020, and all military operations must cease, with the parties remaining in their occupied positions.
The aforementioned villages remained under Armenian control; furthermore, they are part of the former Artsakh, not the seven districts.
At this moment, we can clearly state that today's attack is a violation of the first point of the signed document and, accordingly, other points may also be violated in the future. The authorities of the Republic of Armenia, if they exist, must take steps regarding this matter by contacting the President of the Russian Federation to discuss the gross violation of the trilateral statement and our further actions in the presence of this declaration of total ceasefire and possible future violations.”
